Hi Guys! I am a self-taught through experience ADHD fan. My oldest child, a boy - born in September 1997 - is my teacher of and inspiration for learning everything ADHD. We medicate and also deal with 2 co-morbids - ODD and SID. I am a freelance health writer, "focusing" on ADHD, behavioral science, nutrition, and brain health and function. My 'day job' is in real estate sales but my 'rest of the day' job is educating my community the best I can about how to get their ADHD children through the day without bumps and scrapes to their egos. I am my children's school's Specials Needs Parent Liaison, am about to be a CHADD-trained parent-to-parent educator, and am finishing the build on my website - ADHDNews.org, a not-for-profit website sponsored by businesses and resources local to me which contribute to enriching the lives of my ADHD community members and their families. My site will launch in October - I will post an official announcement what that happens. I look forward to becoming part of this community.
